Inspired by a childhood passion for treehouses and New York-style lofts, Structural engineer Niklas Lindén transformed his compact penthouse in Halmstad, Sweden, into a “New York treehouse,” blending industrial chic with playful nostalgia. At the heart of the design is the clever addition of a glass-walled loft, maximising 4-meter ceilings and a dramatic wall of windows, creating space for a cosy sleeping nook with curtains for added privacy with a spacious home office below, complete with large desk and integrated IKEA storage.
